ENERGY AND FUELS

Fuel data in Brazil with source, period and context.

Gasoline, diesel, ethanol and other products have different market dynamics. Analysis starts by separating product, market, region and stage of the chain.

What fuel data show

Retail prices reflect a combination of production or import prices, taxes, biofuel blending, logistics and margins. Sales data, in turn, help observe apparent consumption and regional changes. Each dataset answers a different question.

Main cuts

  • Gasoline C: consumer price and its relationship with hydrous ethanol.
  • Diesel B: relevant impact on transport, agriculture and logistics.
  • Ethanol: anhydrous and hydrous should remain separated.
  • Jet fuel and other products: dedicated series, specific markets and different publication frequencies.

Price is not volume

Higher prices do not necessarily imply higher demand. To interpret the market, compare price series with sales, seasonality and geographic cuts. Weekly, monthly and annual figures should also remain distinct.

Sources and traceability

ANP publishes price surveys, historical series and open sales data for petroleum products and biofuels. A responsible platform preserves origin, reports when the source was updated and avoids filling gaps with unidentified estimates.

Transparency: when the source has not yet published a new period, the previous observation should remain identified as the latest available reference.
